We were walking into the church and I was SO excited, I knew he was going to love it! Right before we got to the room where everyone was waiting he stopped me and asked me to take off my coat and purse, all the while i'm thinking..."No way! We have to keep walking! There's people waiting, and plus, i'm cold" but he asked again so I did. All of a sudden I got a strange feeling that everything that i had planned wasn't actually happening. The nervous sweats began. We were standing in front of the chapel door where we met 7 years ago. He asked me if i remembered the first time we were in this chapel together. The tears began to pour. I wasn't even in the dang chapel before I started blubbering! He opens the door to a pitch black room the only things that could be seen were tea light candles lining both sides of the isle, and the cross on the stage. There was a beautiful circle of flowers in the exact spot where we met when we were 16 and our song was playing on repeat in the background.
If you know me, you can only imagine how hard I was crying. I kept thinking, Lacey, shut up... you are NOT a pretty crier. That only made it worse. The "i love you's" that i've been waiting to hear from taylor began to pour forth and swept over my heart. I couldn't believe it. After 6 years of dating, I couldn't believe this moment had finally come!
So, all that to say, I'm getting married! At first, it didn't feel real. Now, it feels so natural. I've wanted to marry Taylor for 7 years, it's a relief to finally know that it's going to happen! Planning has been crazy and so incredibly fun! We have a date which is September 25th if you were wondering! We are getting hitched at Cedarwood Mansion in Nashville!
These next few months will be crazy! We are going to try to have everything planned by mid-May which is when we leave to go to Pine Cove! Can it be done? I don't know, I'll keep you posted haha! We are so incredibly excited to learn what the Lord has prepared for us to learn. It truly is by the grace of God that we are together. The Lord has been so good to us and has redeemed both of us in HUGE ways. I'm am excited, nervous, giddy and terrified to venture into this thing which shows the world how deeply and intimately Christ loves his Church. Wow. What a responsibility and privilege. Prayers are needed and very appreciated! I'm excited to share our journey with you in hopes the Lord will receive the glory that only He deserves. We are so thankful for each and every one of you who has been a part of our crazy story. You probably don't realize how precious your friendships are to us.
Some picture are coming soon!
